IPV6 – INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 6
Digital IT Consulting provides its customers with a new version of the IP protocol – IPv6, which will govern the Internet in the near future.
IPv6 does no longer present the limitations of the former IPv4 protocol, allowing any equipment connected to the Internet to have a public address and not a private one. Thus, the equipment with IPv6 support will be able to be accessed directly, from any point of the Internet where IPv6 connectivity exists.
Here are just a few of the advantages that the new IPv6 protocol offers by comparison to IPv4, the protocol that grounds the current Internet:
- IPv6offers a much larger space for IP addresses, their maximum number increasing from 232 to 2128
- Managing and delegating IP addresses becomes easier, the new protocol bearing more types of self-configuring
- Data security (IPsec) is included in the protocol
- Simplified processing of the packages by the router type equipment
